We’re Home – Grateful and Healing

Wednesday and Thursday were full and exhausting days for Amy. She had multiple follow-up appointments, but we’re grateful to share that everything went well.

One major milestone: Amy had all of her staples (over 70 in total) and external stitches removed. Her lab work is also trending in the right direction, and after a thorough review, the transplant team gave us the green light to return home. We drove home last night.

While we will need to return to Philadelphia in about two weeks for additional follow-up appointments, the transplant team was very encouraged with Amy’s overall progress. That alone is a testimony to the power of prayer and God’s mercy in this season.

Prayer changes everything. Your continued love, messages, and intercession have carried us in ways we cannot fully express.

Amy had a better night of sleep last night, but she’s still dealing with several physical challenges, headaches, indigestion, incisional pain, and back pain. We continue to ask for your prayers for relief and continued healing in the days ahead.

We are thankful to be home, surrounded by familiar spaces and your faithful support.

With continued gratitude,
James
