Seeking God’s Calling: Discovering His Purpose for Your Life
Each one of us has a unique purpose—a specific calling designed by God Himself. Whether it’s in our careers, relationships, or ministry, God has a plan for us that aligns with His will and His greater purpose for the world. The key to walking in this calling is seeking His will and trusting that He will guide us every step of the way.
In Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV), God speaks directly to His people, offering reassurance about His plan: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
This promise reminds us that God’s plans for us are good, filled with hope, and designed to bring us into the fullness of His will. Sometimes, we may feel uncertain or lost, unsure of what God is calling us to do. But the Bible assures us that when we seek His will and trust His timing, He will reveal His purpose for our lives.
Seeking God’s calling requires surrendering our own desires and ambitions and aligning ourselves with His will. It’s not about what we think is best, but about trusting that God knows what is truly best for us. By seeking Him first, we can step confidently into the unique calling He has prepared for us.
