NIV Lifehacks Bible

One More Bible?

With an abundance of Bibles on the market, different translations, different sizes of print, different study editions, even a variety of colors, you might wonder why you should consider one more. The NIV Lifehacks Bible is unique and could be very useful to new believers as well as more mature ones.

Lifehacks Bible?

The idea behind it is the same as the expression “life hacks”- defined as a technique adopted in order to manage one’s time and daily activities in a more efficient way. Take that definition and apply it to the study of the Bible–techniques adopted to help you study the Bible more efficiently and some encouraging topics on living the Christian life.

Help in Reading Scripture

One way to use it is to start with Genesis, where you will encounter Lifehack #1–Seeing Jesus in Scripture. What a great way to begin your way reading through the Bible! Coincidentally, there are 365 life hacks, so you can read your way through the Bible learning one new technique each day. Particularly helpful is the piece on the importance of recognizing Biblical genres and learning to study them appropriately.

For example, a narrative is read differently from the Psalms or Proverbs, and prophetic books are read differently from the gospels, letters and historical books. I copied this particular page and inserted it in my study Bible. Other lifehacks will speak to the issues of a Biblical imagination, genealogies, evangelism, and applying the Bible to the cultural issues of the day. And that is only mentioning a few!

Helpful Articles to Help You Grow Spiritually

Not only are there helpful articles like these, but also articles on prayer, worship and even the importance of rest. There is literally something here for everyone and each article is found within the text of the New International Version of the Bible. The articles are written by authors Joe Carter and Kevin DeYoung and will be extremely helpful to anyone interested in studying the Bible and/or growing in the Christian life.
