Do You Believe Jesus is Capable and Caring?

I was talking to a friend recently who was feeling extremely discouraged and dejected. They were feeling overwhelmed by the struggles and trials they were having to endure.

They know intellectually that Jesus is sovereign and loving. Nevertheless, there is something deep within them that causes them to question whether He is able and willing to help them in their most difficult times.

Do you ever feel that way? I certainly have been tempted to feel that way at times.

So when we go through those challenging times, it is so important for us to not be led by our emotions, but be led by the exposition of God’s Word.

Let God’s Word expose our hearts and our lives. And let God’s Word lead us to His precious Son.

Because Jesus is able and willing.

In this message from the Gospel of Mark (1:21-45), we see how Jesus amazed many by His teachings and miracles in Capernaum. Then we will see Jesus traveling about Galilee, preaching, and performing many miracles. Crowds followed Him everywhere that He went. But Jesus resisted them so that He could complete the task that His Father gave Him to do. In this passage, we will see that Jesus is able and Jesus is willing.
