Scripture Reading
Psalm 91:14-16
14“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
Devotional Thoughts
As we saw yesterday, rescue, protection, and deliverance are things our hearts long for. But again, we must look at some prerequisites: love for God, acknowledging His Name and calling upon Him. It is because of His great love (and not your own efforts) that you can know rescue, protection, God’s presence in time of trouble, deliverance, and honor. As Dr. Bob Cook always said–“Walk with the King today and be a blessing!
