We live in a wicked and broken world. There is so much pain and suffering that we all have to endure.
In your trials, have you ever felt…
- Hunted
- Surrounded
- Threatened
- Accused
- Desperate
- Lonely?
In your trials, have you often found yourself crying out to God for his help and support?
Psalm 59 is a lament by the psalmist, David, when Saul had sent men to watch David’s house in order to kill him.
This is a psalm of prayer and praise for God’s saving help. Do you realize that for the believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, God has a constant and steadfast love for us? He is our place of safety in the midst of a cruel and wicked world.
The Psalmist called out to God to rescue him from the enemies who sought to harm him. David recognize that God was his strength and that he watched for Him and sang praises to Him. David found his ultimate security in God as his refuge and fortress.
