At times, does it seem like God’s plans don’t make sense to you?

Do you ever find yourself confused by the things that God is or is not doing in your life? Have you ever struggled with lacking patience or lacking trust in God? Have you found yourself getting discouraged as situations and circumstances in your life do not seem to change?

In this message, taken from Genesis 41, entitled Sovereign Over Us, we find help and hope for times of significant life challenges and struggles.

I pray the truths, found in this passage, will bless you.

Exposition: Genesis 41:1-57

Principle # 1 – He patiently entrusted that God is in the midst of the struggles (Genesis 41:1a)

Principle # 2 – He realized that trials and testings come before triumphs (Genesis 41:1-15)

Principle # 3 – He needed to be honoring of God – constantly giving Him glory (Genesis 41:16, 25, 28, 32, 51, 52)

Principle # 4 – He needed to be bold and confident in speaking God’s words to other people (Genesis 41:25-36)

Principle # 5 – He needed to be humble. God would lift him up (Genesis 41:37-45)

Principle # 6 – He was diligent, responsible, and active in doing the work of God (Genesis 41:46-49)

Principle # 7 – He needed to be thankful (Genesis 41:50-57)
